Join the online Admissions Team from Penn Engineering to go Beyond the Classroom. This webinar series provides a peak beyond the classroom and into the reality of the Penn Engineering online student experience. Webinar attendees will have an opportunity to hear directly from members of our staff and can participate in a Q&A.

During this virtual event, you’ll meet our Associate Director of Career & Community, Saryu Sanghani, and two Penn Engineering Online alumni. Here at Penn Engineering, we don’t just support our online students in their academic pursuits — we are committed to our students’ professional development and helping them pursue their career aspirations. Our dedicated Career Services team facilitates a multi-faceted portfolio of resources and tools designed to support you in progressing your career while completing your degree. Webinar attendees can learn more about:

1:1 Career Advisors; Interview coaching; Professional development workshops; Virtual and in-person networking events; Resume and cover letter review; Access to alumni and employers; Virtual career fairs

… and more!

You’ll hear from two graduates of our online programs, who will share insights into their personal experiences navigating career advancement during, and after, their Penn Engineering online graduate degree programs:

Sunny Karim MCIT ‘23

Sunny came to Penn Engineering’s MCIT Online (now MAS-CS Online) program from an undergraduate background in Business Administration and professional experience in IT consulting. Following the completion of his MCIT degree, Sunny has advanced to work in Software Engineering and AI Analysis and has begun pursuing a law degree.

“The community here is exceptional. The faculty and staff are deeply invested in our education and readily available to answer questions. Peers create a collaborative and uplifting learning environment, while alumni are consistently generous with their advice and professional referrals. It is a network designed to support ongoing professional growth.”

Kira Cheung MCIT ‘24

Kira enrolled in Penn Engineering’s MCIT Online (now MAS-CS Online) program part-time while working in operations, with self-taught coding experience. She was employee #2 at an early-stage startup and stepping away for 3 years for a graduate degree wasn’t an option. She was able to complete her MCIT degree while continuing to progress her career, and successfully transitioned into engineering.

“I came into tech from a finance and business background, so MCIT gave me the fundamentals that turned ‘I can make it work’ into ‘I know why it works.’ That foundation is what let me go from operations to engineering … And you get compounding returns, because every week you’re applying new knowledge at work, so by graduation you’ve had 2 years of practice, not just 2 years of theory. For career changers especially, it’s the fastest path I know from ‘interested in tech’ to ‘trusted to build and lead.'”

Here at Penn Engineering, you can access a rigorous, world-class Ivy League education on your own schedule, from anywhere in the world. You don’t need to leave your job or pause your career to pursue your education. In fact, we can help you accelerate your career while earning your degree.

Our online master’s degree programs are designed to help ambitious professionals build the expertise they need to take their next step. We hope you’ll join us to look Beyond the Classroom and envision your future with Penn Engineering. Your next chapter starts now – register today!
